Terms of Service

Effective: 15 September 2026 · Version 1.2

In short: SarPet is an archive and a reminder tool, not a veterinarian. The records you enter are yours, and you are responsible for their accuracy. Your account is tied to your device — if you lose it, we may not be able to recover your records.

This is a translation of the Turkish original. If the two versions ever disagree, the Turkish version prevails.

1. Parties and acceptance

These terms form the agreement between you ("you") and SarPet ("we"), covering the SarPet app and the services at sarpet.app.

By downloading and using the app you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use the app.

How your personal data is handled is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.

2. What the service is

SarPet lets you:

It is a digital archive and reminder tool.

SarPet does not provide veterinary services, does not employ veterinarians, does not book clinic appointments and does not sell medication.

3. Not medical advice

This is the most important clause. Nothing in SarPet — no information, reminder, suggestion or AI output — replaces examination, diagnosis or treatment by a qualified veterinarian.

Make every decision about your pet's health in consultation with your vet. If you suspect an emergency, don't spend time in the app: go to a veterinary clinic.

Vaccination schedules, breed-based risk information, care suggestions, health scores and analyses, guides and training programs in the app are general information. What is correct for your pet may differ depending on its age, medical history, the regulations of the country you're in and local disease prevalence.

Delivery of reminders is not guaranteed. Notifications may be delayed or never arrive because of device settings, operating system limits, battery saving, network problems or third-party infrastructure failures. Never rely on a SarPet reminder alone for a critical vaccination or medication date.

4. Your account and device

Creating a SarPet account requires no email address and no password. Your account is tied to a device identifier the app generates on your device.

What this means: if you lose your device, delete the app or switch devices, you may lose access to your records. Because we have no way to verify a device identifier, we cannot restore your account in that situation.

We strongly recommend adding an email address and contact details on the profile screen.

You are responsible for the security of your device and of access to your account. Anyone else using your device can see and change your records.

To use the service you must be 18 or older, or use it with the consent of a parent or guardian. SarPet is not directed at children under 13.

5. The content you enter

Every record you enter and every photo or document you upload belongs to you. We claim no ownership over it.

So that we can provide the service — store your records, show them back to you, back them up and serve them on a share link you created — you grant us a limited, royalty-free licence to use them. That licence exists only for those purposes and ends when you delete your account.

You confirm that:

We are not responsible for consequences arising from a dose, date or weight that was entered incorrectly.

6. Share links

A share link you create is a bearer link: anyone who knows the address can view the card without signing in. You are responsible for who you share it with.

7. AI output

Vaccination card reading, vaccination plan suggestions and breed matching use AI models. These models can get things wrong: they may misread a date, confuse a vaccine name or produce information that isn't there.

Check everything an AI feature produces before adding it to your archive. The app deliberately never saves this output directly — it shows it to you first.

9. Prohibited use

You may not:

10. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service running without interruption, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. The service may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, infrastructure failure or problems at a third-party provider.

We may change, add or remove features. If we remove a feature, we will give you a reasonable period to export the data you created with it.

We may change these terms. If a change is material, we will tell you inside the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that notice means you accept the new terms.

11. Disclaimer of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no express or implied warranty that the service will be accurate, complete, up to date, uninterrupted or error-free, fit for a particular purpose, or that it will meet your expectations.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. If you have paid nothing, that amount is zero.

You agree to cover any loss and costs arising from claims brought against us by third parties because you breached these terms or used the service unlawfully.

The limitations in this section apply to the maximum extent permitted by law. If any limitation is held unenforceable where you live, it continues to apply to the fullest extent permitted and does not affect the other limitations.

12. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app. Deletion permanently removes your records and uploaded files; it cannot be undone.

If you materially breach these terms we may suspend or close your account. Where the circumstances allow, we will inform you first and give you an opportunity to put things right.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction over disputes.

If any provision of these terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force.
